71 c10 swb rat rod

Hello everyone! New to this site and this is my first c10 truck. Bought it from north Alabama off of a farm. Has some rust but I'll fix all of that and plan on doing an ls swap. Already ordered a bunch of parts to drop it and upgrade the steering and brakes. Has a 250 straight 6 and three on the tree and runs pretty good. Gonna keep the patina but fix up the interior. Definitely a budget build. Really trying to decide right now if I should spring for the wheels I want or just go ahead and do the LS swap. I really like the boss 338's. Want to go with 18's in the front and 20's in the back. Here's a few pics before I get started.

I'm in for this one neighbor. Can't wait for pictures. You'll have to go to "manage attachments" and upload the pic then submit it

When I try to upload the pictures I get an error message that says I am missing a security token and to contact the administrator. However when I tried to contact the administrator I get a message that says this is an invalid link. Somebody please HEP me!

Welcome to the fourm. Looks like you found a great truck to start with. Are you going to start a build tread? Always enjoy reading along and see how the truck turns out.

If you notice, the original color of the truck is that pee green. Was painted over red a loooong time ago. Creates a cool patina bleeding through. At least I tink so!

LS swap and new 20" wheels?

Nothing about that says rat rod, but it's a good combination anyway

This is my idea of a rat rod. It's a friends truck with ls setup.

Yes, I see you got it figured out. If uploading multiple files, you'll get that error. In addition, if pictures are large files, the'll need to be re-sized. As far as the sideways pictures, did you upload from a mobile device?

Nice truck by the way!

I wouldn't call that a rat rod, just a nice reso-mod with classic patina. Good foundation!

Wow... What you consider a rat ( modern wheels, tires & LS), most people consider a high end build

Really guys?!!! It's just a title. Rat rod, resto mod, rusto mod....whatever. Get over it! I'm just building a truck and that's just what I typed for the title! But thanks for the warm welcome.

Sorry if I offended you. No matter what it's called, I think it's a cool project

All in good fun, so please don't take it to personal. It's just that when people post something online, others are going to post an opinion. No one insulted your project, or showed any negativity toward it, so just build it exactly the way you want
