porterbuilt hood hinge question.

Not sure if this is the correct section to put this under. I wana buy a set of nates 67-72 hood hinges. My question is, will they work on a cowl hood? I know they'll go on just fine but when the hood is open, will the scoop hit the cowl panel or wipers?

It will depend on how tall of a cowl hood you have. We have installed them on a 2" cowl hood and the scoop to the cab's cowl panel was close but it cleared.

It would fit with a larger cowl hood if you were willing to do a little trimming/clearancing on the hood's scoop.

Re: porterbuilt hood hinge question.

Thanks for the response nate. I got a 2" inch cowl hood and goes about an inch and a halfback from the rear of the hood. Just had a kid, money is tight. So I've been recycling cans and bottles and selling random c10 parts I got laying around. Ill be ordering them sometime this week. Hopefully if I keep going the way im going I can afford a dropmember soon too hahha. Have a good one.
