1970 Blazer build

Picked this up last week about 3 1/2 hours from home. Hoping to start a frame off restoration in about 3 months. My ultimate goal is to have this truck completely done for the 2016 Syracuse Nationals next July,but it will be a tight window to get all that done in.
The truck is originally from Missouri, but found it's way to British Columbia. In 1990 it ended up in Ontario and has had 2 owners since. It has it's typical rust issues, but is very very solid.
It came with the hardtop, a new Softopper, new 33X12.5 tires, new carpetting and other extras. Best part is that it's in drivable condition.
I'm not planning a concours restoration as I plan to drive it a lot, and that's also the reason that I'll be opting for a 5.3/4l60E swap. The original 350/350 combo will be stored away in case the next buyer decides to bring it back to 100% original.
The same day I bought the Blazer, I also bought a 2003 GMC sierra to be used as the donor. This truck has about 120000 miles on it, but the body is rotted.
I sold my Street Rod to build this Blazer, mainly because we had outgrown it and it wasn't a practical car anymore. Let's hope I made the right decision !

What did you do about mating the 4L60E to the NP205?
I was looking at the Advance Adapters, but they're a bit pricy. I'm thinking of just buying the output shaft and machining my own adapter.

Yeah, the previous owner had the passenger fender painted but the color is quite a few shades off. LOL

I have been stewing on that for 2 solid weeks. I literally broke down and ended up buying the full kit today...

SPID is the sticker on the inside of the glovebox that lists all the options.

Started digging into it, and although it's a very solid truck, it has the usual rust in the usual places. Thankfully most panels are available.
I also started to rebuild a upholster the seats. I know it seems like an odd thing to work on at the start of a build, but I only have a couple of weeks to work on my truck before I need to put it on the back burner for a couple months. Need to work on the house !!!

Serious flashbacks......My '71 was that far gone when I started with exception of the rocker boxes. All I can say is have fun and measure, measure, measure. Test fit the doors before you weld in permanent.

I know this is unrelated but could you send a pic of the pass. seat brackets and floor mounts.

I have the interior disassembled, and have the floor mounts in a box somewhere.
Here is a picture of the latch on the passenger seat. Keep in mind, my seat are utility buckets.
