Phillips radios - stock or

I pulled a Phillips radio out of a 65 GMC a few years back. were these a stock or a dealer item?

thanks, that was what I felt. they had a lot of those $1695.00 trucks in the dealerships that came bare bones. these things got thrown in as a selling incentive

I think the majority of trucks back then got dealer installed radios. the 3/4 Fords my family or I had back in the 60s/70s all had Phillips, as well as the GMC trucks. Far as I remember they all were a dealer add-on. Our Ford cars had a different brand, just don't remember the names on them, other than they said Ford and the trucks didn't

I think the Fords had the name "Philco" on them. Can anyone verify this?

No problem 61k10. I remember when I was a kid having a radio that said Philco-Ford on it.
That was back in the mid 70's
