67-68 4x4 OE exhaust

Anyone have any pictures of factory documents on how the exhaust system is set up? I'm thinking about going back to OE single exhaust system, and I'd like to find documents that show how it is routed.
Plus I'd like to find original documents on the type of muffler used, since I found a shop that makes mufflers to match OE for just about anything.

I know in the 1972 service manual, in section 8, there are pretty detailed drawings of the exhaust.

Re: 67-68 4x4 OE exhaust

I used Walker Exhaust for my 62 K10. I installed the Y pipe, then took it to a shop for the rest. The truck is quiet enough for me to hear the AM radio at 55 MPH and the neighbors don't seem to mind

Re: 67-68 4x4 OE exhaust

Thanks for the Walker link, but their catalog only goes to 1973 I think for Suburban.

I will check my books again.

I am liking the idea of going to a quieter system, and getting a proper routed system. Dual systems are great and all, but being that I am staying stock I'd like to go even further. Plus my drive train is noisy as it is, along with fan noise from the OE 4 blade.

Thanks for the responses so far guys.

Re: 67-68 4x4 OE exhaust

Folks, I have a guy I have been using out west (everything is west of Maryland) to make exhaust. It used to be you could go to a muffler shop and have pipe(s) made that were not available or not in stock. Shops used to have "Bend Cards" that told them how to make the pipe to follow the factory bends etc.
I have purchased exhaust for at least 3 vehicles from this guy that were bent using the Bend Cards and it is almost always a perfect fit. He can make any changes you like for example if the factory was 2" pipe and you want 2 & 1/2 etc.
Here is the contact information: D&A Old School 847-215-9881 and 815-517-0216
