1966 283 stock compression??

guys,

I am trying to decide if my bone stock 66' 283 needs to be rebuilt or not, it is currently on an engine stand, my question is this: what compression reading should I be getting on my gauge? I am rotating it by hand.

would it be worth putting the starter back on it and rigging it up to use for rotating the motor?
