New Microsoft Program will make XP look like a Child
Microsoft is about to release a new program similiar to XP. It will be totally different then XP as in its going to get Rid of the Registry. I don't know much more b/c my friend was in a hurry.....
Anyone hear of anything more of this Program? |

I haven't heard of it but anything without that damn registry has to be better.

Their new operating system is code named Longhorn, who knows what it will be named on release. It's a good possibility it won't even carry a Windows name due to law suit issues. Like most of the newer OS's it's roots are closer to UNIX/LINUX then the current windows realm. Don't hold your breath on the hipe. They have already cut back a lot on the secuirty and stability functions because of problems. Last I heard the release date is Mid 2006. Like every new Wndows product it is was overburden with flash, special effects so it will be a slow pig on many of the older/low end systems. Oh yeah, registry will still be there in spirit, just not called that any more.
