Hopefully they spay/neuter...
the that decided to attach the clutch master cylinder and pedal with plastic twist-on connections. Just had the master cylinder fall off as the bracket broke off...

For example, its possible those fastners were spec'd to sheer at a certain load, in order to prevent damage to something else in the system. Plastics also get used in situations in which multiple types of materials are being fastened together, to help prevent issues like galvanic corrosion.
