Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
I went to get a replacement 3rd brake light for my '95 Suburban and see ones listed w/cargo doors. I have a tailgate model. Are they different? I also see listings saying "On Glass". Never even looked at those. Probably for something else. Mine's up on top and has nothing to do with the hatch. Aren't they all the same on 92-00s?

94-00 from a Tahoe, Yukon or suburban. They are all the same.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Thanks. That's what I thought till I saw all these whacked out listings. Did 92/93s not have a 3rd brake light? Is that why you listed 94-00? Just curious. I know '95 trucks didn't get those, yet.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
The third brake light wasn't mandated on trucks and suvs until he 94 model year. All trucks and suvs got them in 94.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Oh that's right. I guess my '95 did have that. It was daytime running lights. I never had that.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Where have you been looking for one? Mine is peeling. Not sure if it was tinted once or comes factory like that, but I could use another at some point. It still works though. I had begun researching them a little while back & found them to be pretty expensive for new originals. I'm not sure if the aftermarket ones are any good.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Dorman and other make them. I see them red and blacked out. Mine is red. I'm seeing replacements for about $40. It's only about 1/2 lit, so I'm just going for it with a replacement. How much were GMs that you saw?

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Now that I looked again, maybe not outrageously expensive. Last time I looked, I remember thinking they were expensive for what they are. The originals are anywhere from $82-115 from the quick search I just did.

Re: Suburban 3rd Brake Light(?)
Not too bad for OEM. Mine's nothing special other than low budget special. Not that there's no love. That's just the "theme of this build"
