Anyone know the OEM part numbers for......

1971 C-10 SWB, 2WD, Custom Deluxe

1. The vent window handles? I think I've found some in the parts book, but they're kits. Also, were there two different types, one locks the other doesn't? There seems to be some variance on the market. Maybe they're all "original".

2. Gas cap for an in-cab tank? They may vary by trim. This truck will have the bottom side moldings, and perhaps the top as well. But I have settled on two tone deluxe (split colors between moldings) Vs two-tone (e.g., top cab and tailgate letters white, rest body color).

3. Rubber brake hose lines. I believe there are three. One for each disk brake and the one at the rear near the differential.

Thank you

for the gas cap if you can find a Stant #10704 this should be correct for you.Gas caps where supplied by outside venders. The older ones have the raised letters on cap,the recent ones are just smooth. If you can find the older version((check e bay now and then)) that would be the more correct version.

Looks like the Stant 10704 is vented. From what I'm reading, the original 1971 cap was unvented. Doesn't mean it's right. Can't say I know whether or not to use a vented cap. Considering the vapor canister, it MIGHT defeat the purpose. On another note, this is from another thread. "I bought the stock '72 stant cap. It IS vented, but I think it is only one-way: it lets air in preventing a collapsed tank but won't let gas fumes vent into the atmosphere. ".

Thanks for the vent handle info. I'll wait until after I've spoken to whomever restores the vent windows.

Also thanks for that brake info. Arguably a better option than NOS.

Appreciate it.
