windshield wiper arm question

I putting everything back together and discovered one wiper arm is about one inch longer that the other. What side does the long wiper arm go on?

It's been 20 years since I took everything apart and my memory fails me.

Re: windshield wiper arm question

I'd have to go measure, but I don't think that they should be different lengths.

Re: windshield wiper arm question

Mine are the same length, roughly 14" from the center of the shaft to the end of the arm.

Re: windshield wiper arm question

This was my Dad's 70 GMC and believe it or not these are the original wipers arms.

One is definitively 1 inch longer.

Today I just buffed the stainless steel part of the arm and painted the pivot part of the arm. They are in great shape.
