Custom LED Tail Lights
Greetings,
I have aftermarket tail lights in the roll pan of one of our trucks. They use normal 194 light bulbs for the tail and 1156 for the brake/turns. These are very dim. I want to build a set of LED panels to fit into the existing housings with the same lens. I have not been able to find a "cut to fit" or a good set of instructions. I know that several people have built custom lights, So any help would be much appreciated. The lights are 1-inch tall by 5-inches long. MrBlue

Re: Custom LED Tail Lights
Check out LED trailer lights, there are slim rectangular units that you may be able to repurpose the guts from.

Re: Custom LED Tail Lights
ebay 600 ohm resistor, single led.. cost about $10 for 50 or more.. i like to wire my own.. the resistor lets you put the led direct to 12 volts.. lot of sights here that will show wiring 20 leds to one resistor.. i like to do my own.. it is easy, after the first one..
