Copper Hedder Gasgets... any good?

The collector gaskets aft of my Headman headers have burned thru. Probably paper I don't remember. Anyway puffs of hot air are leaking past the collector junction.
I bought some copper gaskets, Mr Gasket, I think. I'm gonna try 'em.
Vehicle is '71 GMC Jimmy: 350 V8 [stock Mr Goodwrench, c.1999] Carter 9625 AFB 600 CFM, Weiand 8004 intake, Heddman Hedders, dual exhaust, H-Pipe, turbo mufflers. SM465/NP205, 3.73 Auburn Posi 12-Bolt Corp rear.

Yes, they're good.

That being said, if your flanges don't fit good (gaps, dents, old gasket...) you'll be hard pressed to get anything to seal permanently.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

Re: Copper Hedder Gasgets... any good?

Percys make a thicker aluminum gasket that may help. Their header gaskets are very nice and fogiving to.
