power steering prices??

what should i expect to pay for a good power steering setup??? I found pump, gearbox, brackets and hoses in used good condition for $150. is this reasonable or out of line, i know what new stuff will cost and don't want to pay that. should i offer less or is this a good deal as is.

I took the pump, bracket (for V8), steering box with pitman arm, and the main steering shaft out of a '68 in a wrecking yard about 3 summers ago for $40 Canadian. Hoses were cut so of no use.

That sounds like a reasonable price to me if it seems to be in decent condition and its already pulled. Does it come with the crank pulleys? You could always send gregsplace an email, I bet he would have some pwr steering set ups. He's just west of Wichita a ways. If you are using the larger 8 inch dampner and the power steering bracket is from a truck that was originally equiped with the small dampner it won't fit. Or at least thats the problem I ran into on my 68 when I swapped out the 327 with small dampner to a 350 with an 8 inch. I don't remember how to identify the bracket but I'm sure some other members can clear that up, I think one is cast and the other stamped but not sure.
