bench seat

Has anyone used a late model Escalade 2nd row 60/40 bench seat in their truck?. I was looking on ebay they come with a arm rest/cup holder, on a track and heated. You could probably get a five year old leather seat with little wear for 400 dollars that is not a high back seat compared to the front

Re: bench seat

Same as my Tahoe. I have been eyeballing them for a while thinking the same thing. It looks like they would fit and should bolt down pretty easily but are not adjustable for leg room with the stock mounts. I'm sure you could retrofit the stock bench seat mounts & adjuster setup from the older rig to the newer seats frame with a little cutting & welding.

The headrests only fold back out of the way if you can rotate the seat bottom 90 degrees vertical to release the cable locking them in place. Any less angle and they will not move and keep the seat back from folding flat. I don't think there is enough room on the driver side to do this with the steering wheel in the way but it might move enough for access to the fuel tank sender. The short side is on the passenger side so it won't allow much access behind it.

I think the third row seats would be better for a retrofit into a truck. Better structure to work with and no folding headrest.
