LMC Brake Line Kit Question for a 1960 K10

Hello, anyone know the difference in the brake system components/lines for C-10 vs a K10 in 1960? LMC has a complete kit for a C10, but not a K10. People I spoke with there did not have any idea, which I understand. Even better would be another vendor who sells a complete brake line kit for a 60 K10.

Thanks in advance and Happy Holiday!

I would think they are VERY different as a 60 C10 is an X frame and a 60 K10 is a ladder frame ... making the steel brake lines that match the OEMs is not that hard

Re: LMC Brake Line Kit Question for a 1960 K10

OK, thanks. I am attempting to get my truck from Illinois to Ca, and I am in Ca. My Dad is helping me, and the truck has been sitting for 30 years. I am hoping for bolt in. I will go home to attempt to get it at least drive able, so the less I have to do, the easier it will be for my Dad and I. The lines on the truck, he tells me, are a hack job now of non original parts. Just hoping to make a safe, and quick attempt at new brake lines with minimal effort. Just did a search. Looks like Inline Tube is the place. They list K10 short bed kit.

I would go straight to the people who make the Brake lines , InLineTube makes what your looking for. Dealing with a second or third party usually ends up with a lesser knowledgeable person and the wrong parts. There are several other companies making brake lines .

I just spoke with them, they have it, steel or stainless, and the clutch line as well. Had not heard of them until I did a search here. Thanks.

Brake lines are so easy to do, especially on these trucks where access is no problem. Just fab them yourself. Even if you can't flare, just buy pre-flared sections at any parts store. No need for buying a set of lines.

Re: LMC Brake Line Kit Question for a 1960 K10

Yes, thanks for all the help. but I will be home in Illinois for around 1 week, where the truck is, and I will not have time on my side, my Dad is 73, and I will not ask him to mess with all that.
I am just trying to get it drive able, to ship it to Sacramento, Ca. There's a mile long list of things to do in about a seven day period. It is a BLESSING to me to be able to get a kit. And all new clips and hardware. Rubber hoses, wheel cylinders and shoes.
We will also have to change out the left front spindle/hub, as the steering arm studs have been over sized on the front axle I bought, due to a custom steering arm installed for power steering, so we will need to move usable part from one to the other.
I need to be able to get in it, start, drive and stop it without issue, for shipping. I bought a complete 1960 K10 for parts which I have been shipping to Illinois to complete the process.
I am an Aircraft Mechanic and am familiar with making lines. Solid and flexible. But the total price of all these parts new is not that bad. And well worth it given my situation. Plus the brake system will be safe and reliable for years in the future. Very important to me.
