67-68k20 side mirror install

my origonal mirrors were a hodgepodge of hardware and broken bits. Bought an extra set from Steve Altemayer in Tucson scavenged the best of both and some fresh hardware. the hardware needed some adjustment. my home made lathe.

Not done yet. need more hardware but the Ace closed at 5 on sunday. I dont like this type of mirror but its the origonal set for the truck. and the gaping holes it left behind were equally unatractive.

I might be wrong, looks to me that the original mirrors bolted to the 3 holes ahead of the mirrors. Those might be a day 2 after market mirror.

those holes ahead of the lower mount have never been used nor the screws even loosened . Not GM mirrors perhaps but I have seen a few sets with interesting variations.
