1962 Rear Spare Tire Mount

Fitting a spare tire mount under the bed in the rear was not too hard. I Used a tire winch from a newer F250 and built a very basic mounting structure. This was all bolted between the frame rails. I used 1"x1" square tubing to "align" the winch crank to the tire winch. There is a hole drilled in the rear storage compartment (I have a service body, not regular box) that I can feed the crank through, into the square tubing and this aligns with the hex drive of the winch.
