patina question

I am building a 1965 c10 patina. My drivers side fender is really rough Should I cut out the bad and patch then primer or just bolt it on. Here is a picture of the truck and the fender.IMG_4611 by Daniel Crymes, on FlickrIMG_4610 by Daniel Crymes, on Flickr

Re: patina question

I'd be tempted to fix the rust, go a bit smoother on the wrinkles, and then fauxtina it back.

Re: patina question

I'll third Billy. Since you already have to fauxtina the rockers, the fender would look better that way too
