Question on tow hooks

I may sell these tow hooks soon and was curious if these are originals or possibly reproductions? I've looked at several posts here and seems there are some reproductions out there. After looking at the three front hooks and the two rear hooks I can only find markings on one of the front hooks. I'm looking and reading on pricing in case I sell them.

Re: Question on tow hooks

I posted the same tow hooks you have in this post, post #27 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...w+hooks&page=2

The only markings on mine are '2800' at the bottom of the hook near the base. I gave $50 for that pair that you're calling rear hooks and they are supposedly NOS. Best I could find is they are actually front hooks for 3500-5000 series trucks.

Re: Question on tow hooks

Looking at that thread, the one front hooks of mine that's marked looks like the ones in pic 30.

On the others I called rear, I've seen them listed as front for big trucks and for the rear of ours. No idea what's true. After seeing yours I'll go back and look again for any numbers.

You're the first to reply so far. Thanks. Hopefully we get more info.

Re: Question on tow hooks

Here is some info on rear tow hooks- it appears rear hooks for 10-30 series trucks had three bolt holes, not two.

Here is some more info showing the 2234024 hooks are fronts for 3500-5000 series trucks. Post #6

Re: Question on tow hooks

Ok, that helps. And the ones I have that I called rear are marked with 2800 like yours. Oh well, thought I had something.
