L31 Vortec with a 700r4, what Carburetor to go with?

I had a quadrajet when I first asked for help on getting my truck set up back in 2020, but the quadrajet I had is damaged now after a tornado did alot of damage to my property in 2021. I had started this thread back then and was wondering how to get the cable from the transmission properly set up for the quad and got feedback to use bowtie overdives which I did.

This is that thread.

I could go back with a new quad I guess and use the bow tie set up that I bought from them. But, I have the option now to buy another carb with the insurance money and start from scratch. Im not a speedster just like driving my truck around here and there. The 66 I am restoring is hopefully going top get back to restore mode soon, been dealing with home restore since the storm.

Are there some options that you guys would suggest that might be a better carb and hopefully easy to set up with what I have? New to this stuff and wanted to make things simple if possible.

Just get a quadrajet tuned to your motor.
Look here.
Prices might scare you but most new carbs are close in price.

When I am shopping for a carb, how will I know if its tuned to my motor?

Another detail I should mention is the intake manifold is this edelbrock that I bought since I had to connect to a quadrajet at the time

I’ve read that smi will match your carb to your set up. You gotta ask them. They’ll need your carb number.
That intake will be fine.

A well-tuned Quadrajet is hard to beat. I upgraded mine with an electric choke.
