Well looks like Jon let the cat out of the bag.....

I have been aware of this truck for awhile now, attempted to buy from the estate but couldnt persuade them into a presale.

I will be there and hope to do my part in giving it a proper home........

Wow. That truck is a real time machine survivor.

Hmm, It's interesting that the alternator bracket is orange. We had a discussion about that a few months ago here. Some were saying it's impossible. Here's another 68 survivor with an orange alt bracket.

That auction hits all my hot buttons. A really nice vintage Chevy truck, John Deere 2 cylinder tractor and a vintage wheel horse garden tractor. I wish it were closer!

Boy the more I look at that truck the more I like it. That's the first 68/327 with the original emblem on it that I've seen. I took an educated guess when I placed the reproduction 327 emblem on my 327 but got it wrong :-(.

It looks like the water pump bypass hose is painted too. I never would have guessed that.

The mirrors almost look to be period aftermarket to me. Pretty cool though.

That is just down right incredible. It seems many of the clean survivors we see can be found in the harshest climate states. at lest camping or fishing rigs. People who live there know better than anyone the effects of winter roads and these trucks sat stashed till good weather and only used for leisure
