CAB differences?

What is the difference between a 72 non A/C cab and a 69 non A/C cab? I have a 69 C10, typical cab rust, but all the parts fit tight and also have available a 72 rust free cab without doors and trying to decide which way to go.

Thanks

Re: CAB differences?

The main difference would be the throttle control. The 69 uses a rod and the 72 uses a cable.

Re: CAB differences?

The '69 cab should have the rear view mirror mounting holes on the inside above the windshield, I think the '72 mirror was glued to the glass.

Re: CAB differences?

Yest my 69 does, I will have to make a template and drill the holes myself, so it looks like I will have a complete 69 cab, doors and fenders for sale soon! They are real stright but I`m no welder, although I already have the patch panels.

Re: CAB differences?

OK, so I bought a 72 cab and doors today and I cant believe I am saying this but rust free, 37,000 original miles a guy was storing in his garage, the door bottoms have some minor surface rust, but I can wipe it off with my hand, we just finished srtiping it, it was complete minus glass so I have a ton of parts extra for the conversion, taking it to the bead blaster on Monday and then the painter, so we can start striping the 69 off the frame.
