Cab differences

I read recently that 67-68 cabs were different than the 69-72. The only difference I know about is the location of the e-brake. What are other differences?

Re: Cab differences

67 could have a small back window, I think that's it. If I'm wrong someone will correct me

Re: Cab differences

Okay, nother question. Can the e-brake from a 67-68 be placed in a 69-72 cab and everything work?

Re: Cab differences

Don't know about retrofitting the e-brake...

More differences - 67 only:

Vent window handle holdover from earlier years
Door handles
Window cranks (IIRC)
Ignition switch
dash has no indent for Cigar lighter
knobs one year only
one year only rear-view mirror (option)
passenger side visor (option)
Visor clips one year only
Arm rest holdover from prior years, passenger side optional! Like on my truck, didn't have one, which my wife had me change

67 and 68:
accelerator pedal asssembly
parking brake
Dash bezel

and I think the footwell vent handles were different too

Probably more that I didn't remember... there have been threads on this before. Interesting subject!

Re: Cab differences

Do a search on the ebrake question as it has been discussed before. If i remember correctly, it is not an easy bolt in change - firewall differences between the lever ebrake cabs on 67/8 and pedal ebrake cabs on 70 up?

here's a link to an earlier discussion and I am sure there are more:

Re: Cab differences

The 71-72's have a throttle cable instead of a throttle rod.
