mid 80's rally wheels

Guys,
Would a 15x8 mid 80's rally wheel fit our trucks? Is the backspacing ok? I am doing the 5x5 pattern with disc brakes all around. Any body got any pictures of them on their trucks?
Thanks.

Re: mid 80's rally wheels

Yup, that's what I'm sporting on mine. I have the chrome trim rings on 'em (not pictured) and the center caps are sitting on a shelf in the garage that I don't know if I want to put on or not. I'm running 60's, but I'd recommend running 70's. The 60's knocked the cruise altitude on the freeway down about 5 mph (which is alot to lose for me). So the next time I need tires I'm going for the 70's.

Re: mid 80's rally wheels

Those are all 6 lug. He's asking about 5 lug.

I'm sure it can be done, but I don't have any pictures of one that way.

Re: mid 80's rally wheels

yep, they fit.
It is very common to see the 5 or 6 lug version on these trucks.
They fit my heap fine with 31x10.5's
I'll try to post a pic.

Re: mid 80's rally wheels

Just so no one assumes that drop spindles will work with rallies
(which is a Q I was going to ask when I get to that point wth my GMC)
I am NOT running drop spindles..
All stock with cupped LCA's and (I suspect) cut springs.
2" blocks in the rear
And, yes it drives\rides great
Thanks ,T

Re: mid 80's rally wheels

2.5'' dropped spindles plus bags work fine on mine.
