Temp Gauge

Have not yet installed these. New temp sending unit from Lectric Limited. New temp gauge from Classic Parts. The new gauge does not have the 90 ohm ceramic resistor like my old gauge. I read a post that says not used on all gauges. How do I know if I need the resistor or not?

Re: Temp Gauge

You may have an internal resistor in the gauge to protect the needle coils or you may have a different style of gauge. I would call the classic people and find out before I used it.

You could measure between the sender post and the power post for resistance for resistance but I'd still call classic.

Here is some interesting reading on temperature gauges.
