If you start a thread and get good answers....Be kind and give a final response.
This isn't just about getting "your" problem solved.
Some people like the challenge of figuring out a problem and that's why they respond with suggestions. If people keep asking questions and not giving the final disposition of their problem, others might get tired of trying to help with suggestions. All of us like to know what the final answer was not just to vindicate what was suggested but to gain knowledge for future encounters I'm involved in 3 threads that no one has responded. It get's frustrating. Please be kind and follow up with the thread you start. |

Re: If you start a thread and get good answers....Be kind and give a final response.
I've noticed the same "I got mine" mentality of people coming here seeking help, getting just that, and no come back to verify it did the trip. If nothing else, come back out of common courtesy (remember that, or ever learn it?) to thank the member who helped you out of your quandary. Simple enough?
This site is a fantastic reference. This is not Facebook, here you can come and search back years for answers. It is a library for GM Trucks of all years. It is also a community of fellow owners, not a bunch of strangers out in Nowhereland. Think of other members as friends and the rest will follow through.

It's a common theme Speedy, unfortunately. It should be common sense though to post a conclusion AND a thank you.

Yeah makes you wonder. Glad you guys are around as my hit and miss backyard mechanics isn't always the best advice.
