Just picked this up
I traded it for a lawn tractor it doesn't have a motor or tranny but it is from florida and us northern guy's love rust free bodies.
I'm going to change the color, and drop a nice 350 in it. It had a V6. It should be a nice truck when i'm done with it. I will also drop it down a bit to get a better stance. I'm just not 100% sure what look I'm looking for yet. I'll have ot look around to see what everyone else has done. or post pix's of your drop Thanks! I will be needing some door panels as well but that will be later. Last edited by 1967bigdaddy; 04-08-2011 at 04:46 PM. |

Re: Just picked this up
Yes the body is really clean. I'm going to tear the whole thing down to the frame and give it a makeover. I want to paint the underside of the cab and box of it too. I need to do one for myself instead of customers all the time. I will post pix's of my progress as I go. I think I will start doing some work to it next weekend.

When you lower it go for the 4/6 I did a 2/4 and I regretted it the minute I picked it up it really wasnt that noticeable of an amount. in the end you wil be glad you did. Im still trying to decide how im going to redo mine to get it lower

Re: Just picked this up
Nice truck,... and I see what you mean. The wife wants to keep it up, but I want to bring it down. So looks like I should start a thread asking for pix's of different drops. Thanks again for posting your ride.

Re: Just picked this up
Look like its got lots of potential, always nice to start with a rust free body, any decision on the colour you'd like to paint it?

Re: Just picked this up
Yeah I was chatting with JWall about one of his previously owned vehicles and I decided to go with the color on his old truck (Quaser Blue) see pix below. I am thinking about dropping it down a little, and that is why I started another thread asking to see pix's of vehcles dropped with all info about the drop, but haven't got to many replies to it though.
