SUV's...everyone still wants them!
Article in USA Today reporting sales are rising. Radio yesterday said the sales for them are through the roof compared to 5 years ago. Here is my take. SUV's are still cheaper on repairs, they will last 3 times as long compared to a small compact car or minivan. It has more storage and leg room, and is safer for the family. The visibility is better, you can tow, and lets face it...they are comfortable. Mini-vans and cars may save gas, but they have nothing on a good American made SUV.

Yep, Prices are too ! Strange I just came from Ebay lookin at SUV's, Was thinking about up-grading my XJ this year. But...After seeing 5 to 7 year old's with 100K + still going for over 10G, I'm gonna keep it another year or two.....

Re: SUV's...everyone still wants them!
SUV's have more practical uses than any other car.
That's why the middle name is "UTILITY". And Chevy built the first way back in the '30's. Betcha didn't know that "Suburban" is the longest continuous surviving vehicle nameplate of any American made vehicle! Last edited by BigBlocksRule; 01-05-2011 at 09:12 AM. |

You know, sales of new SUVs dropped there for a while, but the prices on used SUVs never wavered. They still bring a good chunk of change used.

exactly....people still want them....can't tell you how many times I have had people tell me they wish they never got rid of their SUV and got a mini van. They all hit the panic button in late 2007 and early 2008.

LOVE my TAHOE... on my 3rd one!
I play in a band and never worry about rain, or stopping to eat after a gig like my band mates!
