Life happens part 2.
My mother is now in a nursing home, I have taken over for her in many ways taking care of my father, and working on the truck is on the back burner. My trip abroad was moved up to April then cancelled when mom had a bad fall. No idea on that now.....maybe next year?
Straight razor shaving still going great and now I have some 20 vintage razors, four from the Soviet Union, three of a "7 day set" with elephant ivory handles, and my favorite I paid all of $15.00 for including shipping and is at least 104 years old. It was made in England but shipped to Germany for grinding as the Germans had a corner on the "extreme hollow ground" technique. That was ended by the Great War so that's why that razor is at least 104 years old. Not a single bit of razor burn or even a white head on face or neck since April, straight razor shaving is indeed the "best a man can get," sorry Mr. Gillette. On the plus side I'm able to control what my dad eats. He's diabetic and mom would buy him all manner of Coke, Pespi, candy, and snack cakes. All that is out now and I even have him eating wheat bread! I'm up to 2 hours of workout each day, the belt line is definitely slimmer, so much so I am back to wearing the same belt at the same belt loop as 2014. I haven't been on much since a computer issue which is much better now. I hope everyone is fine and that your trucks are coming along nicely. |

You might have heard this before, All Things will pass. Your doing what is right by your parents and the Time is Actually quite Short. Enjoy the Good Days with Them and on the Bad Days REMEMBER The Good Days.

I feel for you and at the same time happy for you from what you tell us ,,you have it under control and it is working ..You are a good son ,, I am a care taker also with my wife , yes there are down days and when the good days come ,,we enjoy them to the fullest .. it takes awhile to get all things running as smoothly as it is possible..
Thanks for sharing Ten Ring as it gives me a a bit of a boost to just read of your accomplishments with your father
