What are these wires for? Under dash radio harness
I purchased this vehicle from some people who really didn't know what they were doing. The radio was pulled out and i found that they cut the original harness. I could have put the original harness back but didn't feel like ordering the original part or going to the junk yard to pull one out. So, i decided to just solder the new wire harness from the new radio directly to the harness. I cannot figure out what these 3 wires are for.
any ideas? I don't know if i should leave the disconnected or connect them to something. |

Re: What are these wires for? Under dash radio harness
It's a lot easier with the aftermarket plug-in module that you can splice a new radio to. You don't have that option...so...I think you have some speaker wires messed up. You don't say what year or whether this is AM or AM/FM. Right front speaker: Dk grn/ Lt grn. Left front speaker: Tan/ Gray. Right rear speaker: Dark blue/ Light blue. Left rear speaker: Yellow/ Brown See what this does for you...
