Mystery socket
While trying to make sense of the wires under the dash of my 1970 C20 I came across this light socket. Seems a previous owner had wrapped it in electrical tape and stuffed it in the lower dash. Is this a light that goes behind the heater/a-c control panel? Or some other courtesy light? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Mystery socket
It's one of the gauge cluster lights with an optical cable that goes up the the transmission selector gauge. Light goes up the cable off of one of the cluster bulbs to light up the gear selector.

Re: Mystery socket
Thanks, Ewr101. I'll take a closer look and see if I can reconnect it.

Re: Mystery socket
Thank you, VetteVet! Visuals work even better for me. I assume it takes a #1445 bulb?
