60 hood spring/adjustment issue

Hi all.. Fighting the horizontal alignment from my hood to cowl.. Fought cussed kicked yelled and so far I am out of breath and tired.

Have the hinge adjusted all the way back and still I am 1/2' to high from the cowl I had enough and decided I would elongate the holes to get it down.. Pulled the right hand spring and when I let that side close down on the cushions it lined up perfect with the cowl..

Any ideas here? I believe the springs to be orig to the 60, it is the orig hood.. They hold it up very well but I am lost on this one.

Thanks

Re: 60 hood spring/adjustment issue

could you push down on the hood at the rear and did it move down? My hinges were elongated on one set of holes stock. Pulle the front mount and see what it does.
