Anyone with the aftermarket 15" steering wheel ? I want to go this route but heard of fitment issues with it ?

I've always had problems adapting universal steering wheels to GM columns. But maybe that's just me.

I installed this one on my 69 non-tilt column around 30 years ago. I think it's from a late 80s or early 90s Chevy truck. As I recall, it fit just like the original stock one.
I recently replaced the turn signal switch and cancel cam using stock 69 parts.

I have a repop gm comfort grip in my truck. You use a 67/68 Camaro wheel hub and it will line up well with the truck column. you can use a 69 hub but they are a larger overall diameter so it will look odd. I still use all the stock truck turn signal stuff.

As mentioned these work and feel great. They are on 88-94 Chevy Trucks. They come standard or leather wrapped. Mine currently has the aftermarket wrap on it because I have a bad spot on one of the grips. Once I find another good leather wrapped one I wont' use the wheel cover thingie.

Whatever you do, if things are already tight between you and the steering wheel, don't get one with any offset, also known as "dish".

Found this: Dish is the distance from the mounting surface to the center line of the steering wheel grip."

The greater the dish, the closer the steering wheel grip is to your body.

I purchased this 15' steering wheel for my K1500 truck and have been very pleased with it. I don't remember which vendor i bought it from, but it was 3-4 years ago and was around $250 then. It attaches exactly like the 17" original.
Very sturdy but might not be good without power steering.

yes, the seats are early blazer hi backs I cut down to work with 72 foam and covers. Console is a original 70-72 piece I restored.

If you are talking about the smaller diameter repop of the standard steering wheel, yep I’ve had one for about a year now. I absolutely love it! Fits perfect and looks brand new still today even after a year in the brutal sun we have here. I suspect the fit complaint comes from those that haven’t readjusted the column after letting the tension of the shaft when removing the old wheel. The tooling and finish is excellent on mine.

Is that a blue comfort grip wheel? What color is that interior? Looks great.

Yes its a blue comfort grip. They originally came on Buicks, but they are now reproduced. Alot of big Chevelle parts houses have them. The interior is bright blue. Better pic of it in the sunlight.

I have two of the 15" OEM style. I'm currently running the black, after a tilt column install, and prior to this, I had the blue 15 on the stock non-tilt. Great quality, look and feel for both.

Sorry I don't have a pic, but a leather wrapped Steering Wheel from a mid ;80s Regal or Riveria 15 a good looking 15" wheel. I have a '87 T-Type wheel on my 69 truck and it fits and feels great.

Others have chimed in on this already, but I did get the 15" mounted with ease. It's solid and feels completely natural when driving
Only thing about it that was remotely difficult was reconditioning the original horn button so it didn't look shabby on the new wheel
