68 C-10 3 on-the-tree shifter rods

Hi,

New to the site, but like it already! I found a 68 C-10 LWB with 56K original miles on it on of all places, Craigslist (almost a barn find). The truck is 98% original: paint, interior, suspension, 307 engine, carb, dist, trans, diff, alternator and even the A.I.R set up is OEM and intact. The truck is currently undergoing a frame-off restoration. As often times happens, someone removed the original shifter arms and replaced it with an aftermarket floor shifter, and I am having trouble finding the original V-8 shift arms that run from the column to the Saginaw transmission (3-speed). I have the shifter rods from a '68 I-6, but am being told they will not fit my V-8. -Can anyone confirm this??? Does anyone out there happen to have the Saginaw shift arms and the V-8 shifter rods for the good 'ole 3-on-the-tree they would like to sell?? -Thanks in advance. -Dave68
