I agree that it sucks they couldn't get it right the first time.

I had an issue with my frame and they powder coated it before I was done I asked them to blast first then call me to pick it up, so I could weld in my plates for boxing the frame.

Well they didn't, I took it and welded in my plates and took it back they powder coated the whole frame again. So now it has a double coating on it I can tell where it was done but it is a frame and not seen but they did make me happy with what they did to make it right.

I also think that your wife has a good idea if they go over it again it may take those ridges out but you wont know till they try but then if it don't you could end up with a junk hood too so it is chance you take.
