dropped spindle steering question

I am using a 73-87 front end, I was able to trade for a set of 3" dropped spindles, however they have been drilled out for a 5/8 bolt to be used with a late model rack and pinion.

I found this product in the speedway race catalog-
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/IMCA-A...4&pr_feat=ANNO

which looked like it would do the trick, but upon asking them they did not think that their inner tie rod end would work on the truck.

I could try piecing something together like that, they do sell single heim joints and different lengths of sleeves...
do any of you know the thread count and size of the stock 73-87 inner tie rod end?

any other ideas/solutions besides a rack?
