GM 2 Jet Carb Question

Any tricks to rebuilding them? I took it apart and it looks pretty straightforward.

Anyone do rebushing of the base/throttle shaft bores? Mine's a little sloppy. Alternatively if anyone has a good base with throttle shaft and everything that might work as well.

Best supplier of rebuild kits? I'm assuming NAPA has the kits. Luckily mine still has the metal tag on it with the number 7028105.

There's a long rod with a spring on it that drops down from the cover and I guess engages the little sprung plunger fitting in the bottom of the bowl--is this supposed to move up and down or is it fixed? No pics, I think it's about 2" long. Not sure why it would be spring if it didn't move--mine won't budge.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Dave.
