Door pins and bushings replaced today

I was tired of having to slam my drivers door 4 times just to get it to close. A buddy at the local NAPA found a set of pins/bushings that he said would work. The factory plastic bushings were all but gone. The new bronze ones worked great however one pin was too short. I used the engine lift and a small ratchet strap to hold the door for me. Unbolted the door from the hinges and rolled it back. Next, drove the old pins out from the bottom and took the outer halves of the hinges off. One of the bushings fell out on its own. The other 3 came out with a light tap from the punch. Over the years I learned to push bushings in rather than try to tap them in. A simple piece of threaded rod works great for this. I lubed them up and stuck them back together with the old pins. The longer one would have worked but my pins were not worn enough to matter. After than it was a simple matter of bolting the door back on and making sure it was aligned. Fairly simple project. Part number for the kit: 675-5150
