14FF refresh

I picked up a used 14FF with the gearing and locker I want. I'll be converting it to discs before putting it under my truck (which already has a 14FF).

I'm not aware of any problems with it. That said, if there are cheap easy things that I ought to do while it's easy to access, I'd prefer doing it now to later.

Is there anything I ought to replace? Plans so far are to change the oil in it, reseal the pumpkin, and discs. Anything else?

Also, the axles appear to be RTVd to the hubs and are difficult to remove. Is my best bet a hammer and a razor blade or something? Is this a sign that a seal is likely bad or something?

I have a functional 14FF under the truck now that I can rob parts from if needed, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Also, any suggestions on where to get good U bolts? I wouldn't be surprised if mine are factory.
