Help with air cleaner/ valve covers!

Hey everyone, my goal is to buy a newer edelbrock air cleaner to replace the stock one. I would also like to buy newer valve covers. Is it possible to eliminate some of the hoses that run from the valve covers to other things? Hose #1 runs from the driver's side valve cover to the neck/ ring between the air cleaner and the tbi unit. Hose #2 runs from the factory air cleaner to a crankcase breather (I think). Hose #3 runs from the passenger side valve cover and goes to the front of the tbi. Any help would be appreciated.
