Fuel tank

1970 k10

Yes another fuel tank question, did a quick search but I'm looking for some specific info.

The project I'm currently picking up doesn't have a tank/mounting hardware so I'm looking to go with a larger than stock option and needs opinions on both the tank and where to pickup the mounts/straps.

I've heard people talk about using the later model tanks. Classicindustries sells various year specific tanks and I'm looking at picking up a 40gal from a 74-81 for $100.

What other items do I need to pickup and where can I get them. Also will need a sending unit, can a pickup a stock one for my year suburban and run it in this one? Yes it does have lines plumbed to the back.

Thanks in advance
