Dynamat Tips Please

Hi - Tonight Im pulling my seat and carpet and putting in dynamat.

Those of you that have done this already I have some observations and question.

Observations I have made:
- I should paint the part that extends past the carpet onto the firewall flat black.
- I should trim the mat out around where the seat frame bolts in to make sure it bolts down securely and is solid to the floor.
- I plan on cleaning the floor well and using alcohol as prep for surface.

Questions i have:
- Should I put it behind my speaker kick panels?
- Should I put it over the gas tank? I don't plan on pulling the tank to do the rear of the cab.
- I did the doors (1 strip all the way across inside the door and covered all of the holes behind the door panel) should I also cover the metal behind the door panel with one piece of mat?

Anything else I should know leveraging your experience?
