painting questions
Thinking of painting my truck. It is in pretty good shape, just 2 deep scratches on the bed side and a few dents.
I plan to remove the bed so I can spray the back of the cab. Would like to paint the jambs as well. The clear coat is not peeling. I want to know if I should sand off the clear coat, do the body work, and spray over the original paint. If so, how do I sand off the clear and how do you tell when it is gone? Or do I sand and prep the clear, do the body work and spray. It is 'light quasar blue' and I plan to spray it the same color, or close to the same. The truck is a '93 Silverado, short bed. Comments are appreciated. |
