Another newbie

Hello all. I just picked up a 1968 CST LB on pure impulse...angering the wife in the process.

My background is fabricating off-road (Baja type) stuff so this scene is new to me but I am a Chevy guy and have always loved C10 so this works!

Truck I bought as mentioned is a 68 with lots of potential, bagged horribly but easily repairable. I have big plans and while doing some lurking on here, found a lot of information already which made me want to join.

I plan to strip down to bare frame but while its apart, was toying with the idea of converting it a short bed. What's the general consensus about that? The truck has been hacked up, I'll need a new bed floor, repair the hacked up c-notch frame among other things. Long bed is cool but short bed is just sexier IMO. Thanks guys
