Opinions on Fuel Line Plumbing
Good Evening Everyone,
Here is my situation....
I installed the Brothers rear mount Blazer tank into my 69 step side project with the 250 six. I know the original line was 5/16 and the bubble flare on the mechanical fuel pump is also 5/16 but the pick up tube on the tank is a 3/8 bubble flare. There are many ways to go about this but looking for suggestions. I assume the 5/16 hard line will be adequate even with moving the tank further back, is that a correct assumption? Should I just force a piece of 5/16 hose onto the 3/8 tank fitting to tie into the 5/16 hard line? Should I use a 3/8 to 5/16 adapter barb fitting and a couple short pieces of each size hose on either side? I really want to use the minimum amount of hose and clamps. I am Leaning towards forcing 5/16 onto the 3/8 outlet and calling it good. Trivial problem I know but just looking for a second set of eyes so to speak. I don't want to touch it for another 50 years.
