quality of aftermarket door latches and relays?

Does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket door latches and relays available? Going through my catalogs it seems everyone has them and they are inexpensive. Any I need to steer towards or avoid out there or are they all made in the same plant in china (which is what I suspect).

I bought an altman latch kit for mine (70) but installation is going to require semi-major door surgery so I am getting cold feet and might just try to replace the worn out parts first.

I am sick of having to slam my doors and the locks being non-functional. They can't be adjusted to work, they are just too tired.

thanks
