Re: which one would you build?
Hope you feel better soon. The truck's coming together great. I like the fuse mounts. Any plans for new wheels?

Re: which one would you build?
is that mashed in header going to affect anything? Do you got enough clearance now? Oh and im totally stealing that gauge cluster idea.

Re: which one would you build?
have enough room for shaft to turn , shouldnt make any noticable loss in tq , at least I hope not these headers cost me a bundle

Re: which one would you build?
Start looking for a 2WD 14-bolt semi-floater rearend, the stock POS won't make it past the first 1-2 shift. The 14-bolt can handle it, though. You can use 12-bolt backing plates and drums, but you'll have to have the axles redrilled if you want to stick with 5-lugs.
Most builders will tell you that your headers are too big, those are about right for a hot 496. I wouldn't worry, though, it'll only cost you a bit of hp and tq, but it'll sure sound good! |

Re: which one would you build?
yeah these headers give me room to upgrade the motor down the road with a stroker set up, should work fine for now, plus they were the only full leghth header that would fit a bb in this year 1996 without serious welding and re-routing, they look good will flow well and Im not trying to break into the 10's with this truck just a cruiser with a little something extra under foot when needed, should be fast enough for around town and strong enough for occasional abuse, building more for show and something a little different than your run of the mill small block pick-up,
