Speedometer Cable

Can anyone with a properly working speedometer measure the length of the end of the speedometer cable that goes into the speedo? I have a CPP speedo and an aftermarket speedometer cable from amazon and I have a little bit of wobble and I suspect the wobble is from the speedo cable going to far into the speedo and binding (my last cable got bent on the speedo side). I can trim it but not sure how long it's supposed to be.
