Looking at`72 K/1500

It`s a`72 SuperCustom,California body,original paint,4spd/350,non-a/c,with Rallayes for $6,900(asking price).What do you think?No pictures at the moment.It`s solid and good driving condition.

Payed $7K for my burb. Sounds like nearly the same description. Mine was born and raised in Cali, in solid driving condition, new paint (pretty decent job), stock 307/400 combo, no air, one extremely small area of rust on the floor. The rest of the burb is rust free.

The only thing I don't like is that the PO cut a sunroof in. I have a donor burb for the roof section (among other things) but I will need a real body guy to do the work.

Just remember that a vehicle is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay.

Thanks, once again for the eye candy. You must be proud.Joesjunk has that nice K/10 for sale at a very reasonable price.Has a similar condition by the name of "Super-Scoop".With a step-flanger,a cool welder, and skill shouldn`t be a big deal.BTW,thanks for the input.

Long Roof, after you have the roof repaired, have it LineX coated and have the LineX folks paint the coating with white paint you supply for UV protection. That will give you a tough surface that easily covers any work done. I think I'll do this on the one burb I keep.

Joesjunk, you hit the nail on the head.I`ve dealt with him before,so-so.He doesn`t know as much as he should for what he`s doing and known to stretch the truth. But,his vehicles are what they are(from your own observations).I couldn`t go out and find what I want for the difference in what he`s asking.I bought a truck when he first started selling repro parts.Paid him for arm rests and a steering wheel to be sent, never got them. It`s the same as LMCs.The seat cover I got was such a lousy fit(way tight),my upholstery guy wouldn`t charge for the job, even though it took three times the effort. He just said,"when you get a good one, bring it back and we`ll put it on".The truck I bought was a "drives good" truck.I followed him to his lot.Told him it was wandering alot. His reply,"you`ll get used to it".He`s not a rip-off,just gotta take him with a grain`o`salt.Anyway, what do you think? Were you considering it?Some of his stuff is "way-high",and others priced right. He wanted more for that`70 painted blue over Dk.Olive than the`71 a/c truck with orig.paint(not matching)body panels. Both with the "rare factory" 8"rim option not listed on the VIN-spec.I`d like to hook-up with the guy in SoCal that gets most of his trucks.

I am not interested in his Burb, I just always check his web site to see what he has. I can't believe what he wanted for the Blue over green one he had. It didn't look very good. I would really like to have the 71 with the original paint (different bed). He has it priced at 5k now. That burb he has looks kind of beat up, at least that was how it looked to me from the pics. Sure was a clean body though!!
